Synopsis
With unflinching intimacy this film chronicles the remarkable stories of four Sierra Leoneans during the Ebola epidemic in what is regarded as the most acute public health crisis of the modern era before COVID. Through a unique community filmmaking initiative, the film shares the bravery and humanity of the individuals working on the frontline to support those most severely affected by the crisis: a filmmaker and pastor, an ambulance driver, a nurse in an emergency treatment centre and a young boy living on the streets of Freetown. In an eerie foretelling of the COVID era this moving film tackles a health crisis in the most challenging of circumstances with clarity and empathy.
