Marcia Mansur

Judge for Marsh RAI Short Film Award

Born in 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, Marcia Mansur is a visual anthropologist with a PhD and a specialization in Arts Administration from New York University. She is the former director of Doc’s Kingdom – International Seminar on Documentary Film (2023–2025). Her work bridges cultural heritage, archives, and memory, expanding across film, installation, and interactive media. Her projects have been featured in the Biarritz Amérique Latine Film Festival, Margaret Mead Film Festival, Museo Etnográfico de Castilla y León, Paço Imperial, Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo, and the Museum of Natural History of Lisbon, among others. Marcia has collaborated with progressive arts institutions in Brazil (Video in the Villages), the USA (UnionDocs), and the UK (British Council), engaging in community-based initiatives (Indigenous Filmmakers Festival), grantmaking (peer reviewer for the Brooklyn Arts Council selection committee and BFI Doc Society), and public policy (RioFilme Audiovisual Government Agency). A member of the Documentary Producers Alliance and the Association of Women Filmmakers of Portugal, she works between Lisbon and São Paulo as the director and co-founder of CRUA, a documentary production company.
