Synopsis
My grandmother Jirina explains the history of a traditional costume that her own mother made. As Jirina’s great granddaughter Anna tries the dress on, assisted by her own mother and grandmother, the dress and its story is brought back to life not only through words, but in all its sensory dimensions. The film is valuable both in its documentation of a historical object and its story, but also by exploring how family memories are shared and passed on, especially in the context of four generations of women.
