296…’ takes its inspiration from an innovative new report by the Institute of Race Relations (IRR). The video- in response to the report- seeks to (re) historicise and (re)humanise the 296 “nameless bodies”, estimated to have died attempting to cross the increasingly militarised Franco-British border since 1999.
