With this illustration I tried to capture the relationship between space, time, necropolitical power, political subjectivity and the ability to imagine otherwise in Danish deportation camps. Through an engagement with a political campaign and the experiences of asylum seekers in the camps, I explored the camps as an archipelago of waiting and necropolitical power: here life is indefinitely ‘in waiting’ and the future is foreclosed. I traced their modes of survival, refusal and active collective resistance as acts of insurgent futurity.
