Inspired by a Syrian refugee, Mohammed Rahimeh, known as Mo, this collage is a visualisation of his cookbook created when he was living in the Jungle Camp at Calais between 2015 and 2016. It links his past and future while always rooted in the everyday human need to eat and for commensality. The words chosen suggest his present fear of making the journey to the UK and the possibility of a better life there.
