Kisêdjê women’s manifesto against deforestation and river pollution. Filmmaker Kamikia Kisêdjê and the Kisêdjê Cinema Collective decided to send a message from their people to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. The women took the lead making the statements, forcefully expressing their worry about the devastation of the Amazon and the future of their grandchildren. This film is part of Arandu: Listen to the Weather, a festival sidebar celebrating 35 years of Indigenous filmmaking from Brazil: key films and filmmakers working from the late 90s to the present. Guest curated by Graci Guarani, Takuma Kuikuro and Christian Fischgold for RAI Film Festival 2023.
