A sensorial record of affinity and enmity relationships with fire in the conservation of the Cerrado biome. In the company is locals, hired to act as brigadiers and, more recently, as management agents, this short film explores the affects established with fire amid the pyrophobia of firefighting and the pyrophilie of fire management. In addition to documenting combat and manipulation techniques, this cinematic experiment hints a visual anthropology beyond the human, where environmental forces such as heat, vegetation, and wind compose an alterity whose condition remains ambiguous.
