The Chronotopes of Palestine (38’) is a collection of five ethnographic short films, which explore different modes of remembering the homeland among three generations of exiled Polish and British Palestinians. Taking the individual and familial stories of displacement and separation as cinematographic itineraries for the films, the camera follows the complex routes of Palestinian dispossession and returns to today’s Israel and the occupied Palestine, looking for traces of Palestinian past and presence and exploring different layers of subjects’ connections with the ancestral homeland.
