Documentary about the initiation of young Xavante men, held during the training workshops of the Video in the Villages project. At the invitation of director Divino Tserewahú, from the village Xavante Sangradouro, four Xavantes and a Suyá produce a film collectively for the first time. During the recording of the ritual, members of the village explain the meaning of this complex ceremony. This film is part of Arandu: Listen to the Weather, a festival sidebar celebrating 35 years of Indigenous filmmaking from Brazil: key films and filmmakers working from the late 90s to the present. Guest curated by Graci Guarani, Takuma Kuikuro and Christian Fischgold for RAI Film Festival 2023.
