The festival will open with the screening of Edge of the Knife, an indigenous feature film based on Haida mythology and language; we will be celebrating Kim Longinotto’s long and prolific career as a documentary filmmaker; and we will offer a rare chance to see two films directed by Safi Faye, the pioneering Senegalese filmmaker and ethnologist who started her career acting in Jean Rouch’s Petit à Petit.

The full programme will be published in February 2019.
